Zoso scrie despre cum un tip (Marian Pop) i-a furat tema de WP pentru a-si face site. Nu neg ca Zoso are dreptate din punct de vedere moral- mai ales ca zoso are tema facuta custom pentru el – (tipul a si rescunoscut in discutie ca a furat… ceea ce e la fel de grav ca furtul in sine) DAR din punct de vedere al licentei de WP se pare ca lucrul asta e … posibil si legal.

Motzu mi-a indicat aici un articol destul de interesant. Pe scurt articolul zice ca temele WP sunt sub licenta GPL deci practic pot fi folosite de oricine. Matt Mullenweg(creatorul WP) spune asta pe forumul wordpress.

I don’t
remember what the heck WP_USE_THEMES does, it’s probably a vestigial
backward compatibility thing, but rebanyo is correct that themes link
and use lots of internal WordPress functions, which make them linked
under the GPL and subject to being a GPL-compatible license.

If a theme (or a plugin) used no internal WP functions or APIs, then
it could probably be considered independent, but that would be really
really hard for a theme.

PS: Tema lui zoso desi facuta special pentru el mie unul nu mi se pare deloc iesita din comun si speciala. Mi se pare foarte practica :) Probabil ca lui ii serveste foarte bine pentru blog.
